RFID technology has been available in the practical sense for 30-40 years, the first RFID tag patent application occurring in 1973. Since that event companies have been struggling to find an efficient and affordable way to use the technology.

Advances in technology and continuing reductions in cost due to those advances as well as a higher penetration on a much broader scale into the commercial environment are finally allowing companies to use RFID tools to find effective solutions for myriad problems at affordable and justifiable cost levels.

Over the past few years we have been slowly, meticulously integrating more and more RFID functionality and tools into our WaveTrakWMS and WaveTrakMTS systems to provide a more powerful and seamless method to identify, track, and locate inventory at the point of receipt and throughout the supply chain.

We have refused to provide RFID technology just because it is the "hot" sector but have instead used our years of experience in the manufacturing and distribution environments to identify "real" problems that might be solved with the introduction of RFID technologies and then using that same experience found practical, affordable solutions that improved the operational process.

We now have the ability to identify any item, whether being received, moved within the facility, or shipped to an external location, with an RFID passive label or Tag. Our RFID add on module then provides the tools to track (current or historically) all the movement of any item that has been identified in the system.

Using a combination of RFID portals, RFID /RF handheld devices, barcode technologies and web based programs we can now provide automated, hands off updates of all item movements and provide on line real time, information about the historical movements and current location of those items.

We believe that our proprietary RFID software, integrated into our WaveTrakWMS or WaveTrakMTS applications (WaveTrakRFID), or as a standalone, autonomous solution (WaveTrakAMS) will improve the productivity, accountability and efficiency of your supply chain processes.

Unlike most companies we can and in fact, prefer to provide turnkey services taking full responsibility for and providing all software, equipment and configuration/installation services required to create your own RFID tracking system.
